Quality Assurance Technician

Working as a member of the Massilly North America team, and reporting directly to the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the Quality Assurance Technician is ultimately accountable for maintaining various aspects of the Management System policies, procedures, and providing Technical Support to Operations. 

 

Job Summary:

Working as a member of the Massilly North America team, and reporting directly to the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the Quality Assurance Technician is ultimately accountable for maintaining various aspects of the Management System policies, procedures, and providing Technical Support to Operations. 

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Administer SPC Software, user access, specifications, and Operator training
  • Provide technical support and training to other departments
  • Assist QA Supervisor in testing, measuring and analyzing product samples
  • Provide administrative support for the Quality Supervisor
  • Maintain and ensure compliance of the Calibration Program
  • Interface with Suppliers, Purchasing and Customers with respect to Quality related issues
  • Investigate Customer Complaints and support resolutions
  • Report Food Safety and Quality problems; initiate appropriate action
  • Verify Quality Inspection Records and Dat
  • Participate in ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 Food Safety Audit programs
  • Establish and maintain plant quality assurance procedures, methods and equipment
Skills & Knowledge Required:
  • Formal Quality training/education preferred
  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years’ experience as Quality Technician (not inspector) in manufacturing environmenrt
  • Experience in food packaging or high-speed metal stamping and forming preferred
  • Experience in coordinating ISO Quality and Food Safety programs is preferre
  • Lead Auditor Certification in ISO would be an asset
  • Solid communication skills in English and ability to interact with people at all levels
